The same one has been realized by the artist and sculptor Jon Alberdi Bastida*. This art work was ordered by Leonardo Olazabal for the Garden of the Peace Banner N. Roerich Museum from Ereño, Bedia. The sculpture is dedicated to the famous painter, archeologist, explorer, philosopher, writer and humanist, the Teacher Nicholas Roerich. He was the source of inspiration of the Roerich Pact and the Cultural Peace Banner, signed on April 15, 1935 in the White House, Washington DC (USA), which supposed his candidacy to the Nobel Peace Prize in two occasions.
Its a tribute to his figure and his extensive pictorial and literary work, for this reason this Monument represents an “Universal Door to the Peace.
Basque Artist born in Baracaldo, Biscay, who takes all his life tied to the forge and the iron. His work like sculptor is an incursion in the ethereal space, “helping to show the emptiness without limiting it”, that is why he created sculptures with the shape of curves and spirals, which volatility can be seen in: “The Launcher of Memories”, “Twister” and now “The Door to Nicholas Roerich’s Cosmic Infinite”.
